Sr. Lois Re-Elected in Duluth

On Sunday, June 12, 2012 Sister Lois Eckes was re-elected for a four year term as Prioress of St. Scholastica Monastery, Duluth, Minnesota.

Sister Mary Catherine Wenstrup, current Prioress of St. Walburg Monastery, Covington, Kentucky and Sister Kathryn Huber, former Prioress of Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana served as the facilitators for the discernment process.  Sister Susan Hutchens, President of the Federation of St. Benedict presided at the canonical election. We congratulate Sister Lois and the community.  May the Spirit which was present with them on the Feast of Pentecost continue to guide them and gift them with wisdom in the coming years.
